Demystifying the Monolith: Instrumenting Legacy Applications with Jaeger and inspect.IT Ocelot (Jonas Engeler, Interhyp)
When analyzing the performance of legacy applications, the standard approaches and tools like stack dumps or the Java Flight Recorder provide some insights, but many APM issues lie deeper and are more difficult to trace down. This talk shows how the combination of Jaeger and inspect.IT Ocelot can help localize these hidden APM issues. Insights from practical experiences with the instrumentation of a large monolith application and hands-on tips for a quick setup are provided.
Performance Testing OpenShift and Other Infrastructures using Pbench (Elvir Kuric, Red Hat)
In this talk it will be presented how to use the Pbench tool to execute tests on bare metal systems or on Openshift cluster inside pods.
The presentation will particularly cover how to
1) start using Pbench with focus on
a) install Pbench server
